The Brief

Max Spielmann may dominate the high street with their personalised gifts and touch-of-a-button photo printing, but they also wanted to expand that dominance into the digital world.

When Max Spielmann first started with us, their main goals were to fix the conversion tracking, and bring down their CPA (cost per acquisition). They also wanted to see:

  • Increased visibility and better performance on non-brand keywords, which would reduce their reliance on brand terms
  • PPC supporting an overall +17% increase in revenue across all channels in 2023 compared to 2022
  • Return on ad spend (ROAS) of +320%

The Solution

The first step in our overhaul of the Max Spielmann account was to move away from the target of CPA and replace it with a revenue target. This resulted in an increase in ROAS, as well as a lowering of the CPA.

By utilising new Google products at our disposal – such as Performance Max – and by rebuilding search campaigns within the account to improve ad relevance. The account also underwent a complete revamp so that it was easier to manage and improve down the line.

  • 33% increase in clicks
  • 21.3% reduction in CPC
  • 96.1% increase in conversions
  • 46.82% drop in CPA
  • 113.46% increase in revenue
  • 104% increase in ROAS
